Microsoft hedging its bets on HD DVD, ponders switch to Blu-ray When comparing the latest consoles, Sony constantly makes reference to its decision to include a Blu-ray Disc player with every PlayStation 3, while pointing out that Microsoft?s Xbox 360 utilizes the comparatively less spacious DVD9 format.Sony is so confident in its Blu-ray-enabled console that the company has stated that putting Blu-ray in PS3 will be the smartest decision made for the games machine. Microsoft Europe?s Senior Regional Director, Neil Thompson doesn?t think so, saying that Blu-ray does not give Sony?s console any advantage over the Xbox 360.http://www.dailytech.com/Article.aspx?newsid=6714 e…

Hi, guys, this is my first post, before I ask my question, I just wanna say that thanks to the people on this forum for making such awesome contributions!!! k, now for my question. I really love the music that plays in the background of keygens, and they all seem to have the same type of music, I love them so much, so times I ll just leave the keygens open so I can hear the music, for example, the keygen for the #1 DVD Ripper, which is what brought me to this site. can anyone point me to the direction where I might find more music of the same type? Thank you soooo much

In what could be the most embarrassing exploit to impact Windows Vista since its commercial launch in January, security engineers at McAfee's Avert Labs confirmed today - and posted the video to prove - that the operating system can be caused to enter an interminable crash-restart-crash loop, by means of a buffer overflow triggered by nothing more than a malformed animated cursor file. It isn't even a new exploit, as researchers with eEye discovered in January 2005. At that time, Microsoft acknowledged it affected versions of the operating system from the first edition of Windows 98 through to early releases of Windows XP, though it stated at the time XP SP1 was unaffecte…

Does anyone have any older boomboxes? Say circa 1980-90's? I'm interested in purchasing one. The bigger the better, I have the model numbers if needed, but a good indicator is if they have dual VU meters that is what I'm really interested in. LMK if you have anything and maybe some pics? Willing to pay up to $700ish maybe more if its what I'm looking for. crossing fingers...... Chris

I have been very interested in rce for some time. And having spent countless hours reading tuts, mainly to no avail ( only ever managed to crack/patch a couple of apps ), I came across lena151's absolutely fantastic tutorials on newbie cracking. My question is that I have made a patch for an app that does not have one released so how do I go about sharing the patch on the scene?

Was browsing 9down and noticed a comment by a Slysoft Team member under any AnyDVD post. The changes to the downloading of trials is interesting! Having said that, all it takes is one person to release the exe and it'll spread in no time. Not sure what they intend to achieve this way. Just like with Alcohol 120% etc... the exe's will get out there. Thread was here: http://9down.com/story.php?sid=8374

Five Hackers Who Left a Mark on 2006 In the security year that was 2006, zero-day attacks and exploits dominated the headlines...However, the year will be best remembered for the work of members of the hacking?er, security research?community who discovered and disclosed serious vulnerabilities in the technologies we take for granted, forced software vendors to react faster to flaw warnings and pushed the vulnerability research boat into new, uncharted waters. In no particular order, here's my list of five hackers who left a significant mark on 2006 and set the stage for more important discoveries in 2007: http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,2078402,00.asp

Microsoft Manager Says It Considered Banning Vista Virtualization In a story for the Associated Press carried on many online news services this afternoon, one of the directors of Microsoft's Windows Client Product Planning team appears to make a curious and perhaps astounding statement. Scott Woodgate is quoted as saying that a Black Hat security conference demonstration last August, where virtualization functions were exploited to plant an active rootkit onto a beta of the Windows Vista kernel, scared Microsoft to the point where the company seriously considered removing virtualization capability from Vista entirely.Ostensibly, the AP article was about Microsoft's decisi…

Watermark Helps Track Movie Uploader A man who allegedly uploaded a copy of the movie "Flushed Away" to the Internet was tracked down using a wartermark on the film and now faces a felony charge that could send him to prison for up to three years. 27 year-old Salvador Nunez Jr. obtained the movie from his sister, an Oscar voter.Nunez admitted to also uploading "Happy Feet," but only "Flushed Away" was discovered on his hard drive when FBI agents visited his house. Movie screeners, which are sent to voters in advance of their official DVD release, are often leaked to the Internet and watermarking technology has recently been implemented to track their source. http://www.be…
