http://spectrum.ieee.org/print/5429 Maybe the best article I ever read over the 2 Sides of the Music Industry and that every advantage try to hide a bigger disadvantage. When the compact disc (CD) was introduced in the early 1980s, there was much for audiophiles to be happy about. Digital audio removed many of the physical restrictions vinyl had imposed, such as concerns about surface noise (caused by dust, scratches, the lacquer itself, and so on) and limited dynamic range. The CD was capable of supporting a dynamic range of about 96 dB. For most of the 1980s, when CDs were still high-end products and mastering engineers largely did not have access to digital signal-proc…

NJ teen unlocks iPhone from AT&T network http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070824/ap_on_hi_te/iphone_unlockedNEW YORK - A 17-year-old hacker has broken the lock that ties Apple's iPhone to AT&T's wireless network, freeing the most hyped cell phone ever for use on the networks of other carriers, including overseas ones. ADVERTISEMENTGeorge Hotz of Glen Rock, N.J., confirmed Friday that he had unlocked an iPhone and was using it on T-Mobile's network, the only major U.S. carrier apart from AT&T that is compatible with the iPhone's cellular technology. In a video posted to his blog, he holds an iPhone that displays "T-Mobile" as the carrier. While the possibility of s…

I laughed about this video. Its freaking funny, Bush tried to say "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me", he made his own version of it. He said: "fool me once, shame on ... shame on you, a fooled man cant get fooled again" And, read the youtube comments they are very funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKgPY1adc0A An edited video (real hard, you'll laugh 100%) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7wZ73ABr44 Bush stutter, real bad - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SSrt73QNQM

The company apparently isn't done with Windows XP yet, either. Reports this week suggested that just as one group of testers got their hands on Vista SP1, another group began testing Windows XP SP3, which Microsoft has preliminary plans to release the first half of next year. Microsoft on Wednesday confirmed those reports. Not sure if anyone actually wants to try a pre-beta but if you want to you can find a link here: />http://www.thehotfix.net/ This does make you sign up in their forums, but I'm sure if you search google hard enough you'll find a rapidshare link, or something similiar. Its around 350 MB. Also for all those that are interested, Vista SP1 will be releas…

This is not really a reversing/debugging question - except maybe for someone like me travelling all the time and needs to connect to their home network. Anyway the question is - I have set up a VPN connection to one PC on my home network and access it using a laptop. Both are WinXP. The VPN connects reliably and I can ping all the IP addresses on my home network. I can also connect to ip addresses on the home network (such as the router web configuration pages). BUT the big problem is the home network shares are not accessible using "My Network Places" or using drive mapping. The VPN client and server are using the same workgroup name and I can see the client is getting a…

hey guys, good day to all! i was wondering if we can put cracking/reversing into action by coding stuffs such as trojan removers or antivirus of some sort. many script kiddies are modifying vbscript autorun trojans and it just annoys me deleting all those files manually and those antivirus companies can't cope up with the number of undocumented viruses, especially here in our country. i saw abel loader generator, it has the potential to restore the registry and kill process, but i was wondering how to implement this automatically without using too much coding resource.. thanks

I was visiting the Ollydbg website hoping for a 2.0 update, and right there on the main screen a link to a new program: Olly, the author of OllyDbg, presents his new open source joke: PaperBack is a free application that allows you to back up your precious files on the ordinary paper in the form of the oversized bitmaps. If you have a good laser printer with the 600 dpi resolution, you can save up to 500,000 bytes of uncompressed data on the single A4/Letter sheet. Integrated packer allows for much better data density - up to 3,000,000+ (three megabytes) of C code per page. You can check it out on the main page cant miss it.
