Hi For an average computer user like me itś nearly impossible to know what is what so I decided to try and ask the experienced. If I understood it right, a packer is often recognized by virus-detectors as a malware although its not definitive the case. I wanted to install a software, 2 of itś files were defined by clamAv as a PUA.Win32.Packer.Upolyx-5 / PUA.Win32.Packer.Anti-4. Is it really a malware, is there a way I can find it out? probably I sound naive but how do you estimate the chance that these packer is really infected? Thanks Amaranti

Yesterday i download old tools and can't detect them (program that protected with new version of protector). If i am not wrong, after i read few thread... simple steps are; 1. I need to write some sort of essay about RCE - the high level overview of the subject: what are the different approaches for different software platforms, how packers and protectors work (main methods they employ), etc. Even though I have good "internal" understanding of these, it's hard to bring the words together for well-structured essay. I'd like to ask, if you could point me to the papers/publications addressing these topics, so that I could grab some ideas. I briefly searched the downloads section, didn't find much interesting. Hello, so I have a little problem where I need to find a solution if possible. Problem: So I have installed a few apps on my system which I want to backup so that I can restore the backup on a fresh installed OS without to install the app again.So is there a tool which can do this with any installed app? Hi, Good day. I want to ask for help for the following: I have a laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium, it's not mine, and the owner ran RemoveWat on it. Only thing The person didn't activate the Windows first. So, the Windows is not activated and Windows Activation Technology is removed. What can I do to make this copy of Windows activated? There is a option on RemoveWat which is named RestoreWat, but this person don't know which or what RemoveWat version/product is used. Is it safe to run RestoreWat, install a license key and run RemoveWat again? Or will the laptop BSOD? Or spontanious system errors wiil occur in worse case senario? Has anyone built a gaming rig for running emulators? I was thinking about a nettop because they are very small and can be hooked up on or near a TV but lets be honest they are hopeless running anything mildly heavy. My next thought was to build a system around a mini-atx board giving me the option of a decent CPU with a dedicated graphics card (which would probably be bigger than the motherboard itself). However it would mean getting a biggish case with power supply, etc. I'm after something low-key. Any ideas? Ted.
