Hi all, I'm working on a preservation project to bring an old series back completely. For fans I'm creating a lot of files, where I want to include NFO files from now on. Situation: As those NFO files aren't shown correctly in notepad (wrong symbols and different lining), I want to show them in NFO viewers. I found a lot viewers online, but those are software programs you need to install and bind to the .NFO extension. I searched a lot and couldn't find anything useful. I do have some NFO viewers that were packed with some cracker releases. These do exactly what I want, without installation view the text in custom color, autoscroll and music. Now my Problem: I w…

First: Hi, this is my first post here and I will tell a little bit about myself. I am 20 years old and studying computer science. I've discovered reverse engineering a few months ago. I've found this site while I was searching for information about reverse engineering, and I've found it to be the best site on reversing I've came across. I've mainly followed the first tutorials from Lena151 and some from r4ndom. I run a windows 7 64-bit, but I use ollydbg on windows xp 32-bit via oracle vm virtualbox (it crashes if i tun olly outside virtualbox). Since I haven't had any contact with (other) reversers (don't know if I should call myself a reverser), I'm unsure what to do ne…

Now, however, i am unable to find a copy. All torrents an links appear to be dead. Does anyone still happen to have this?

Okay pretty stupid question, but... if you really think about it its not as stupid as it sounds. Lets say you "patch" a file from a company that requires a fee to use after a trial period, This patch modified the bytes on HD to use the product after its trial period, I could expect that this is just cause for prosecution and be fined or jailed accordingly. but now using a memory loader you do not modify the companies file at all, Instead you are modifying your own memory which you own. Infact you should be charging the company a leasing fee to use your memory to host there application.... Would this hold up in court? would the judge/jury what every.. be aware of the diffe…

Here is an OS I am looking forward to seeing reach final release. If you have been living under a rock Joanna Rutkowska has been involved in it's development and trumping it up as being "an open source operating system designed to provide strong security for desktop computing. Qubes is based on Xen, X Window System, and Linux, and can run most Linux applications and utilize most of the Linux drivers. In the future it might also run Windows apps." Release Candidate 1 was released yesterday so if anyone wants to take a look they can find it here... http://wiki.qubes-os...stallationGuide A more thorough and detailed explanation of the operating system and intended security c…

I have a target that communicates with a web based lic server. When blocked in my hosts file the license invalidates(No brainer). The funny thing is, monitoring all traffic to and from the PC shows zero activity from the application. So, the question is, can anyone suggest a good app that monitors EVERYTHING, ive tried fiddler already, its pretty good but obviously lets this one slip by. Cheers.
