Suppose i have an HTTP link of a file and a ftp server. Is there any way to upload directly on FTP without downloading on local machine and uploading. Means any way we can setup some script on server to fetch download automatically and upload to FTP.

Is there a program that can be used to mask your netbios name and any trace of your machine on a lan? I'm using zone alarm and it says "stealth" but I'm not sure if means what I think it does. I don't want my server to be seen on a local lan unless direct permission is allowed. Any recommendation for something that will run on top of zone alarm pro and still allow IP traffic? Thanks Chris

well the 1st burner was released...as you guys might know this thing is probably the future..can hold sick amount of data, etc, etc (media) "The another huge step to change the history has been done. Hot new Pioneer BDR-101A Blu-ray burner is now available in some net eshops. This piece of hardware gives you the ability to write 25 GB of data on single disc. It will take something about 45 minutes. Anyway, the price isnt much user friendly yet, not many people have needless 1000 dollars to buy this internal E-IDE device. Pioneer is equiped with 8 MB buffer BD-R write, read and rewrite speed is all marked as 2x. You will probably need some medias for burning too, but the pri…

I voted for SNES I used to play those games when I was 6 years old with my big brother (good old time), Robocop VS Terminator, Mario All Stars, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong. My opinion is those old gamez have a better gameplay then the games of this time. Also NES isnt of my time but i still play some nes roms on my computer and i really like the gameplay and the music.

Hey Folks, Im guessing you saw the title and are now sitting there going...erm what is he on??! Seriously; I got to work this morning and noticed we had a little package from Microsoft, Usually its just Junk about Vista; or new discounts for us. This time it was a rock...yeh seriously A ROCK...with a note. (Nope they didnt throw it threw the window!, although there would be some level of irony with that) So after rolling about on the floor laughing I decided to read it; it seems they are going to try to visit all PC retailers and check they are legit (oh **** lol). I figure they just want us to stone all software pirates to death with it; who knows Either way, d…

Does anyone know any software and/or built in ways to restrict access to certain options for different user accounts? My friend runs a non-profit private school and was wanting me to help him enable restrictions on the students computers. I've installed NetNanny on the systems already but also needed to know if access can be blocked under their user accounts for instance blocking options in IE accessing control panel accessing windows explorer accessing desktop properties and blocking things of this type on just their login name for windows xp. any help would be greatly greatly appreciated! zer0

Vista, Microsoft’s new OS, will require a little more PC power than what users are normally used to seeing. Since a lot of customers are already waiting off for the release of Vista to purchase a new computer, they should know what the future holds. The typical computer you can now get for around $300 will need some hardcore upgrades if it plans on running Vista. According to Dell, a dedicated partner of Microsoft, models for the home and home office, the recommended desktop for Vista is priced at $1,749. The laptop costs $2,699. If we were to take a look at the minimum requirements for Vista, one would understand why the price is so high. These hefty requirements are: …
