Hello there, I was wondering if is it of a common practice to be able to talk about a specific program and share one's findings. Something like : giving the target name, Url, and then sharing the protection scheme, VA's like serial verification routines and stuff... untill we achieve our goal (exemple: keygening a real app). Or is it forbidden / too dangerous ? I didnt find anything about this in the general rules.. Hello everyone. I'm a newbie reverser that just completed both Random's and Lena's tutorials (thanks a lot authors!) and I found that I really like reversing, and since I saw myself coming back here pretty often I decided to create an account and make a small thread.What would be the best way to continue learning? Should I just dive into the files section, download crackmes and unpackmes and try to solve them? Any recommendation about any that would be good to learn from? How did you guys get into and learned to reverse?Anyway, I hope I'm not too much of a nuisance and I hope that in time I can give something back.

Hi All, I am very new to OllyDbg & I'm trying to find a way to highlight (change color) to address changes in the Address/HEX Dump window. I've looked through it's options & plugings and found nothing, help would be appreciated or just to know it's not possible. Thanks.

As you know, OllyDbg provides labelling. When I see referenced address which assembly code has, I would get information(Label name) if referenced address is labeled. But If labeled address would be referenced indirectly(e.g. mov eax, dword ptr[eax]) or labelled address is stack, OllyDbg cannot show label to reverser. (also, Status bar which is below CPU cannot show label too) Is there other way to view label in OllyDbg? It's too hard to analyze obfuscated code because of this poooor behavior

Hey guys, so I just have a little question and need some infos how to get it work. So my problem is that I can't record anything what is played in any player on my system.Also I can't make pictures so they are all just black and I wanna know why? Exsample: I do just start any video on my PC which gets played in VLC player or any other player etc and normaly I can see the video of course but if I start now any capture tool as FScapture for pictures or Screen2Exe for videos then all what was playing in my player is just black (I mean just the captured file if I play it later) or the captured pictures are also black after (just the part in player all other things…

Hi guys, so I have a short question again so this time about the FF browser.So I noticed some problems after updating my FF browser from version 31.0 to a higher version (31.2.0 | 31.1.0 | 31.1.1 | 32.0 till 33.0.2 latest).So the problem what I have does just happen if I start my FF browser in my Sandboxie only since any higher version right after 31.0. 1.) CPU usage does increase to 50 % and keep so in idle state (normal is 0 %) till I force a manually exit of FF from process list in Sandboxie. 2.)
