The fight between the providers of encrypted messaging platforms and lawmakers has entered a serious new phase. And this time around it is looking ever more likely that proponents of end-to-end security, the likes of Facebook and Apple, will lose their campaign to maintain user security as a priority. The EARN IT bill Is the Government’s Plan to Scan Every Message Online. https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/senate-bill/3398/text NCMEC (National Center for Missing and Exploited Children) believes online services should be made to screen their messages for material that NCMEC considers abusive; use screening technology approved by NCMEC and law enforce…

Hi, folks! There are cool watches (I guess on the MK65F18 controller). I spent a lot of time trying to mount its internal memory FatFS image. Firmware can be obtained here. The archive has a file fsimage.dat The problem is that it consists of 512-byte sparse in random(?) places sectors. Is there a way to arrange all sectors in the correct order? Thank you in advance!

I predict streaming keys and code in to encrypted VM engines(which implement all the old anti-RE schemes as well) will be the final attempt at DRM. Why? Because other than implementing a TPM or SEE in such a system there is really nothing else you can do without chip makers stepping in and basically rolling out gaming console type schemes.. Even the Xbox One is basically Signed-bootrom+Windows 10+UWP+Hypervisor, though; encrypted RAM and the ARM TPM are just Zen&Ryzen features and don't actually mitigate memory corruption attacks or patching code... One day you will see crypto in MMUs that makes a lot of things obsolete(like stack and heap corruption); especially…
