I've written code that will detect and prevent managed .NET debuggers and profilers from working. The code is in the public domain so anyone can use it should they find it useful. The difference between this code and other similar code is that this code can prevent a managed debugger and profiler from receiving messages. It also uses internal CLR variables to detect and prevent managed debuggers/profilers. The code has been tested on CLR 2.0 RTM - CLR 2.0 latest, CLR 4.0 RTM, x86 and x64.Code: https://bitbucket.org/0xd4d/antinetPart of the README follows here:Anti-managed debuggerMost anti-managed debugger code will call System.Diagnostics.Debugger.IsAttached somewhere …

.NET Exceptions (all of them) The surce code for generating the list of .NET exceptions that I posted earlier. Here it is finally. This just outputs an XML structure to the console. You can redirect the output to a file then use an XSLT transform on it (or do whatever else you want with it). using System;using System.Collections.Generic;using System.Text;using System.Reflection;using System.Collections;using System.Text.RegularExpressions;using System.Design;using System.Xml;using System.IO;namespace ExceptionList{ class Program { static void Main(string[] args) { ReflectionSearch(".*exception$"); Console.ReadKey(); } …

.net IL Memory Patching?
by PermaNull- 4 replies

I'm wondering if there's any library available for patching IL code in-memory at run-time of a remote App, similar to how you'd perform detours or write memory to a remote C app. Basically I'm dealing with an application I'd like to bypass some checks on but getting defeated by the packer's integrity protection when manipulating the IL in the binary itself, so I figured my next best option was to write a loader and patch the process in memory. I've looked through a few different things: https://github.com/0xd4d/dnlib - I haven't discovered any in-memory patching functions for IL code in specific locations in dnlib if it exists please do let me know. Most o…

I need to modify some source code. I need to get a 2nd string from given string which contains 2 string. The length of 1st string is always changed time to time. For example: NuQW4CSS0Qpa8TnZor in hex: 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 1C 01 01 01 01 01 08 4E 75 51 57 34 43 53 53 01 01 01 01 01 08 30 51 70 61 38 54 6E 5Athe 1st string NuQW4CSS (4E 75 51 57 34 43 53 53) it begins with 1 byte in front (08) as the length of the string the 2nd string 0Qpa8TnZ (30 51 70 61 38 54 6E 5A) it also begins with 1 byte in front (08) as the length of the string The problem in the source code i got is, it gets the 2nd string with fixed method, always get it from the 29th byte, which is actually …

Hi, i have a decimal number in an int variable, which i want to convert to hex and save in a DWORD, ie: int a = 4660; -> == DWORD b = 1234; I was not able to find a simple way to do this conversion. It works via strtol or sprintf, but there has to be an easier way? After all, the int variable is stored in hex in memory... deep

hi, this program is supposed to output the pids & names of all running processes: PROCESSENTRY32 pe32; HANDLE procsnap = CreateToolhelp32Snapshot( TH32CS_SNAPPROCESS, 0 ); pe32.dwSize = sizeof(PROCESSENTRY32); Process32First(procsnap, &pe32); while(Process32Next(procsnap, &pe32)) { printf( "PID: %d [%s]\n", pe32.th32ProcessID, pe32.szExeFile); } However, only the first char of the process name is printed. (Delphi) Define global flag?
by iChallengeYou- 4 replies

First a happy new year So I want to define a global flag which can be used everywhere in the project. So in example i want something like this: isUnpackMe = false; Button1.Click() { if (isUnpackMe) { ShowMessgae('This is an unpackme'); } } So i don't want to declare isUnpackMe as an variabele but want to define it like the pre-defined {$IFDEF CPUX86}. Does anyone know how to do that?

(M)ASM <-> C/C++
by unix- 10 replies
- 6.1k views
Hello, i wanted to ask if someone knows something like a comparison-list of (m)asm and c/ c++ functions. I understand both languages and can write and read it, but a list which compares functions would be nice. What i mean for example: ASM mov eax, value1 cmp eax, value2 //code mov eax, 5 //code mov value3, eaxC if (value1 == value2) { value3 = 5; }Maybe the examples don't match very well but it should be something similar i guess (cant test it right now..). So what i am asking is if there is somewhere a list where i can see how common functions/ instructions look like in asm <-> c? It would be nice to see quickly when i have some asm instructions how the a…

Hello ! I'm currently writing some ollydbg plugin and I'm trying to put some breakpoint on a few external functions, because I need to get the passed values to those at each hit. I'm using this snippet to set the breakpoint : t_module* module = Findmodulebyname(L"(nameofthemodule)");wchar_t* error = L"Error";ulong funcaddress = 0;FindaddressW(L"(function name)",module,&funcaddress,error);Setint3breakpoint(funcaddress,BP_TEMP,0,0,0,BA_PERMANENT|BA_PLUGIN ,NULL,NULL,NULL);But, even with a BA_PERMANENT (even with changing ODBG2_Plugintempbreakpoint to ODBG2_Pluginexception to catch the bp), the breakpoints are deleted... meaning I only can break at those functions once…
