Tuts 4 You has migrated to a new server.

Apologies for the longer than anticipated downtime. I wanted to ensure all files, databases and propagations and server settings were all good before going back online so as not to risk losing information/ files.

If you come across any issues whilst using the site please let me know so I can check and resolve...

Ted.

I"ve seen 2 issues after migration:

1) on old forum there was so called auto-append feature when you add some info and it was auto appended to your previous post

it is somehow broken now...

2) when you try to edit your mesage there is also some kind of weired stuff happening, eg: https://prnt.sc/PM-HmzQmMI5D

this is the link, https://forum.tuts4you.com/topic/44474-weird-smart-assembly-613-protected/?do=editComment&comment=217216

but today I was able to edit the above page....

Maybe there is some timeout that behaves differntly? (once you create a page then find a typo and try to fix it and another day - it allows to edit?)

I'll try to collect cases and report here

Yesterday I experienced some problems in sending DMs on Firefox. Upon pressing the send button it would simply just refresh as opposed to actually sending the message. The message still was "saved and restored" in the text box though. Not sure if this is also related to the migration but it hadn't really happened to me before the downtime.

similar behaviour I've been observing when appending fast added messages to the forum threads... (test 1)

test2 (for fast append to previous one)  << test  passed! (appedned corectly)

test3: edit existing thread.. << test passed as well!

SUmmary: all  my complains are cleared, thank you!

It would appeat that PMs are broken on Chrome as well. Sending "submit" often (like 75% of time) discards the message, no error is shown...

This should be fixed now...

CodeExplorer

I get:

Quote

Sorry, an unknown server error occurred when uploading this file.

(Error code: -200)

while trying to upload a file.

@CodeExplorer I think it may have been bad timing, when I was changing server settings, whilst you were uploading.

Please can you try again, if it still has problems email me the file so I can try here...

I can't see file upload option in pm message.

It is working as intended, there should no file attachment option available in PM's...

Hi, seems to have the same issue...

Likely due to combining/ merging stylesheets whilst testing caching methods. Not expecting it to be permanent...

  • 2 weeks later...

@Teddy Rogers  There is still some (rare?) bug on forum that I just hit

symptoms:

I've composed a reply, pressed Submit button, but then nothing was added - just the same page

when I hit to reply again the forum shows me old text I tried to append - but the story ended up in the same manner - nothing added

I was very curious what the hell and here is my finding - as you see for some reason froum replies with 403 error on my try:

the location when I tried this:

the file has 0 bytes, can you check it Ted?

Upload was flagged by server protection. I will investigate further.
