I think they all do it now, Microsoft is just late to the party. I was reading an article somewhere that stated even with all the privacy settings turned off and Cotana disabled there is still a lot of information being leaked out. I'm sure we will find out how much of our soles have been up for sale in years to come...

a decent firewall will block inbound and outbound traffic so maybe using this to find the things that leak, will lead to fixing them any port open is a door, shut all of them off.. it can be done with a few patches and the correct configurations
