MaxX0r Posted August 20, 2014 Posted August 20, 2014 I prefer VMWare Workstation, I've used it since VMware 7 and it totally fits my needs. Also tried VirtualBox, but nahh...

CUDiLLA Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 At work we use Hyper-V and at home I use VMware. Haven't tried the newest VBox-Versions. Around two years back I tested VBox for a while, didn't really liked it because it missed some Features.. but I heard that they are catching up. 1

GIV Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 i prefer virtualbox, its free and regular small updates. configuration goes pretty fast aswell for a new VM. AFAIK it not support hardware breakpoints witch is a major drawback from my POW. VMWare support. Any news about that?
SmilingWolf Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 It supports HWBPs if your processor supports Intel's virtualization technology (VT-x) which is the case of every processor from Core series onward IIRC.
c0d3inj3cT Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 VMWare Workstation. Note: If you are using the VM for the purpose of malware analysis, make sure you have hardened it. Popular VM softwares like VMWare Workstation and Virtual Box are often detected using file and registry artifacts. There are several other methods for detecting virtualization softwares too.
