Loizos Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 (edited) Honestly , I am amazed. EDIT - Clumsy and unprepared , say that again! Edited May 13, 2016 by Loizos
kao Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Clumsy is quite appropriate word here. If I was doing something like that, I would have installed Windows 98 and used a debugger designed for NE executables (like good old Borland's Turbo Debugger) or proper decompiler for old VB versions (like VB RezQ). But doing it all with Olly - that deserves some respect!
mARROm Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Cool as. How about SoftIce? I tried getting it to run on XP and couldn't. Its hard to find it these days on the net too.
kao Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I managed to find SoftIce 3.24 with IceDump on my old HDD. As their changelog says: Quote What’s New in SoftICE 3.24 (versus 3.23) ---------------------------------------- * Windows NT 5.0 beta 2 support * Windows NT 4.0 sp 4 support * Miscellaneous bug fixes so, you have better chances running it on Win9x or NT4.x... Random links I did find:http://xlb.es/Debuggers/Softices/http://ftp.twaren.net/cpatch/patchutil/softice/source/ 1

Its hard to find it these days on the net too. I remember that i was able to install in on Xp using the suite DriverStudio 3.2. The only problem was that mouse didn't work and you are forced to use a PS/2 mouse. That was the only limitation. I need to search that in my old backup, if i will find it i will share 1
