Keygen tool debugging

Hi everyone,

 

Im very new to this and have read many docs...and i have infomation overload. I need some help with something which i have been trying to do but now a little confused.

I think i have been reading too much things that are unrelated to my task, so im confused.

 

Here is what i want to do.

 

I have a keygen tool ...(for a android app license..fully working) that requires me to put in an IMEI of a phone. I put the IMEI number in the keygen and it generates 2 files that i need to put into the phone to make the app work.

 

Now the app works fine after i put the license in ( generated by my tool).

 

So what i want to do is see what the license gen tool is doing to get the required license file generated....line by line. Because the license generated activates many features of the app so the license gen tool must be calculating something to make it work with the phones IMEI...different phones has different IMEi which means different information in the license generated of coarse.

 

I want to know what its doing exactly.

 

Can someone point me back on the right track on where to start...what programs i need to use to reverse my file.

Im not asking someone to do it for me...just point me in the right direction and i will research myself and report back if i need more help whan im stuck.

Even though i am new to this, i have learned alot so i can understand the basics atleast......how basic im not sure yet.. but im learnign and am enjoying it!!

Reading it i am confused

 

 

Now the app works fine after i put the license in ( generated by my tool).

So this means you coded it. Right

 

 

what programs i need to use to reverse my file.

 

So if you coded it then you know how you did it, then why reverse it

Hey, Seems like you are too curious like me regarding this topic....
