chessgod101 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I just published a definitive tutorial for x64_dbg. It documents its settings and features and shows you how to use the tool to effectively debug a 64-bit application. This tutorial is aimed at beginners, but has some information that may be useful to more advanced reverse engineers. I hope you enjoy and feel free to ask any questions you may have. http://reverseengineeringtips.blogspot.com/2015/01/an-introduction-to-x64dbg.html 11
simple Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 somewhere between all ur ads u should give a shout/credit to original coders since u have nothing do w/x64dbg. it looks like a ripoff of random/lena/infosec/a million other olly tuts...
chessgod101 Posted January 28, 2015 Author Posted January 28, 2015 I think your username is very befitting to you since you are quite 'simple' minded. If you would read at the very bottom of the post, which it appears you clearly did not, you can read the followingWe are very fortunate that the author has made this free and open source. We should always take the time to thank the developer who has worked hard on this with a small donation or contribution. As for Mr. Exodia. I worked with him personally on this tutorial and used his guidance to document the features and functions of x64_dbg. I did not copy anyone's work. This was all done by me on behalf of Mr. exodia.
simple Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) i saw it, but u still dont mention by name nor link to donate page. its garbage "tuts" already done a million times. hash tool, debugger tut, how to read hex in delphi.... nothing new... ur here for ad revenue and nothing more. edit - hey bro, not a big rap fan but check out this song, u will like it, it's called "just to get a rep". it reminds me of u - "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2y85V8v8N8" Edited January 28, 2015 by simple

The tutorial was indeed done in collaboration with me in case anyone doesn't believe it. About the ads: everyone has to live. I don't really understand why you don't use AdBlock Plus or similar ad blocking software to block the ads. Personally I use AdBlock on every single website, I even create filters to bypass the 'Ad blocker detected' messages. In case you missed it, x64_dbg is licensed under GPL, there is no need for credits of any kind, as long as you follow the license terms. 1

chessgod101 Posted January 28, 2015 Author Posted January 28, 2015 (edited) <Loki edit>. People like you are exactly why I do not like to post on these forums. I only colaborated with Mr. eXoDia to document each specific setting in the settings pane. The tutorial was to demonstrate how to use the debugger on an application and how to access specific features. I wasn't teaching someone how to reverse engineer, I was teaching someone to use the debugger. People like you make my blood boil. I hope that you feel so much better about yourself and more content with your lack of ability. I almost never insult people but you have certainly pushed my buttons. I recall that Einstein said that "only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." I have truly seen that stupidity has no limits in your completely unnecessary messages here. .. Loki Edit - Whilst I dont disagree with you chess, please refrain from some of the language you used. I dont agree with simple's comments here, but I do believe in freedom of speech and his right to express them. Calling him a 'simple piece of ****' is too close to a personal attack based on a disagreement. By all means call him out on his credentials to make his claims, but lets not get down to the level of attacking people. I see why you've been pushed that far, but still - be the better man. Thanks Edited January 29, 2015 by Loki 2
simple Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 dude it's a f%cking retarded insignificant internet forum . nothing here matters in real life. my opinion is valid but who gives a sh1t what others think, no?now if u wanna go against me in the crackmes section (like high school mod Loki pitting people against each other says lol!), prove ur brains are as big as ur mouth, we can do that (FOR FUN), just let me know ; )

Blue Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 (edited) Don't know why some people keep trying to prove themselves correct, when they are clearly not! By the way nice work chessgod101 and eXodia Edited January 29, 2015 by Blue
Loki Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 (edited) High school mod? Would be nice to be back in high school! You should probably pipe down now. I'll defend your right to freedom of speech, but not to be an asshole. Edited January 29, 2015 by Loki 2
xSRTsect Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 It was more than clear to me that this 'simple' dude was not exactly bright from the beginning all along, so this sort of inappropriate behavior is expected. 1

The ads are, pretty sure, from the blogspot.com and not from him .
kao Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Not really, no. That obnoxious bidvertiser ad is definitely his own. Not sure about Google ads, but they seem to be his own too. Anyways, I think that this topic should be closed, as we've gone really really off the topic..
Teddy Rogers Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Kao has pointed out already this topic has lost its way so I kindly ask that everyone keeps future replies related to the tutorial please. Thank you... Ted. 1
Artic Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 thank you for the intro. i think i will repost the link this to some friends wanting learn to use x64dbg and because the lena tuts are getting a bit old and x64dbg is now the best tool (imo) it is a good start for newbies. about the ads i havnt seen any, thanks to adbp. thanks for your time chees. 1
chessgod101 Posted January 30, 2015 Author Posted January 30, 2015 Unfortunately, bidvertiser makes those ads pop up in that nature on their own. I have no control over that. My adsense account was banned nearly 5 years ago due to problems on my forum. I tried to switch to adcash to eliminate that, but they would not approve my blog. At the moment, I have no other choice to change ad providers. Anyway, if you do not like ads, try adblockplus.
testos Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Nice tutorial. Thank you @chessgod101. Have you planned a second more advanced tutorial?
