Hi,

I think I'm in trouble with ur PM-system.

When I send a PM and it says, that it was submitted,

it's often not really submitted. You're waiting for an answer

not knowing that there's nothing to wait for... lol?

Also I often receive PMs twice with a delay of 1 second.

But since today it's freaking out.

I see this all the time:

And "My Assistant" doesn't stop popping up:

Logout>Login, deleting cookies or whatever didn't help... :/

PS: Loki & Till.ch... did you get my last PM ? :dunno:

I didn't became the pm...

U tried already an other Web-Browser?

Else u can write the pm on the ICU forum.

I haven't this problem, that's really strange...

I forgot to mention that there's no difference when using IE7... :/

Well, I've cleaned the Inbox, but still "-1 New Messages"... :blink:

I'll look in to it but personnally I've never had this problem before and I use the PM system nearly every day without fail :dunno:

If it changes let me know, maybe it will correct itself... :thumbs:

Hum... now I recieved 1 new message - that way it went from

"-1 New Messages" to "0 New Messages"... :animal_rooster:

At least the operation went logical... :lol:

Mine now says -2 New PMs.... weird.

maybe an board error that the new pm's get subtracted to the old pm's.

4 me all is ok, from 0 to "1 New Messages" how it should be :)

I recently got 2 new messages and after reading them it now always says "-1 NewMessages" :(

Maybe you could look at this again, Ted.

Thats what happened to me..... it did seem to fix itself though.

I'm guessing its an IPB issue rather than something Ted can fix though.

It could be an IPB issue. Anyway... the site should be moving over to new hosting shortly so maybe it will correct itself after the move. If not I'll look in to it further...

this is off the subject but will the forum web address remain the same? If not how will we know what the new site address will be?

I'd hate to lose contact with such a great forum

Please read the blog on Tuts 4 You for more information :)

The URL will remain the same only the DNS will be changed over. You will be able to enter in the same URL's you have always done before and hopefully you should not notice any difference...

I've still got it sometimes, too - then it disappears after a while.

But since then there's no more crazy popping message-window - no prob for me...

Hey Pu55y... no, I got no PMs yesterday (Tuesday).

I got one Monday with a test link, but I replied to say that the .exe was getting eaten by McAffee before I could run it. Did you WinUPack it again?

Yeah, I got your PM, and answered some mins later that day.

I've got no probs at all with typing PMs twice - it's just confusion,

when u never know, if it will be really recieved... :/

I hope it will be fixed in IPB 2.3.0 :)
