Why does this (look at the picture) happen ?

Why is that RGN Creator tool not as exact as it has to be ?

Why is there still green colour ?

That sucks a lot :(

screenln8.jpg

btw. this is the actual and third superhero-skin this time with batman.

The box with "example.exe" looks not so good with this colour, i know ;)

it's only a wip screenshot.

you have to move the picture in the dialogbox to the coordinates 0,0 ! like in the other skins...

here is another trick...

Create and use two different files with different backgrounds.

Background #1 is for the region.... for this skin, use a green background, save it as a BMP file and use it in the RGN generator to create the region file.

Background #2 is for the resource... for this skin, use a black background, save it as a BMP file and use it in the resource editor.

What does the above accomplish? Well the picture you posted has a green "border". If you had used this trick, the border would be black, not green. And, of course, the black wouldn't look so bad.

Try it next time!

coordinates 0,0 -----> I encounter it also when i first try to create DUP Skin.... :D

Create and use two different files with different backgrounds...------->This one i need to try thanks for tip Ecliptic

You can also try another one: take the picture and open mspaint

and fill the backround with a colour that u choose and then cut the image using

the pencil tool or smth

when your image is ready save it as 24 bitmap with mspaint

and make the rgn from the image u just saved

then for the recourse file

open the 24bit u just saved in PS and go to mode>indexed colour if u want to make it smaller

do this and it will work

good luck

another.....which i try.....

Fill background With any color you want......save......now put some other color in background......save.....

now you can see the places where the previous color is till there ..... open with paint......zoom in and color it up with the present background color....

Work 100 %

now put some other color in background......save.....

I think u meant opening the img in paint ;) and change backround so we can see the left colours

because in PS all the backround changes and no previous colour is left :(

Guest bastard

thx for all the tips & tricks

I think first makin a RGN and then recolouring the background to a better matching colour

is the way I'll do.

@ antrobs

no problem Mr. Rogers added my nickname to the badword-list

an everytime someone writes ba$tard the forum changes it to custard ;)

hey guyz i think that Ecliptic in his tutorial about

fix this or just let others think a bit?
