Windows About To Get A Killswitch?

Interesting blog article about Windows Genuine Advantage. Suggestion is that this is about to become a mandatory install and that it essentially kills windows if not genuine.

He told me that "in the fall, having the latest WGA will become mandatory and if its not installed, Windows will give a 30 day warning and when the 30 days is up and WGA isn't installed, Windows will stop working, so you might as well install WGA now."

For those of us who have a genuine XP disc, its not a huge deal, but it does raise the question of a] will it work properly and b] should microsoft be able to force the update?

Microsoft are a bunch of tits anyway, their EULA's are shocking if you ever read them.

The media player one is the worst, maybe they expect noone will read that one?

They can install/remove ANYTHING off your machine via media player if you agree to the EULA.

Anyway, Mel and Napalm burst into life last night and my patcher is 95% done!

So WGA will be no problem soon, and I had to updated my SnR's a little last night because of the new WGATray.
