Brave update problems Dark-Mode!

Hi guys,

Brave did update again and again I have trouble with my setting I used before which was just changed.Main problem is the "dark mode" when using incognito window.Each time after a update the dark mode is back (I HATE THAT!) and I need to find & change some Chrome flags.Last time I did write down what to do when it happens again.There is one flag I need to change and I also need to re-install my used theme.This I wrote...

Enable Incognito brand consistency in desktop  <--- disable = darkmode removed from incognito mode
re-install theme again when it makes trouble

...oh wonder!Now the flag entry is gone and I can not find it anymore to disable it.GREAT! Why is it not more there or why they have re-names it or whatever?Each time those damn problems to disable the stupid dark-mode in incognito window.I really getting sick of that.Why they dont just put a simple On/Off option in the settings for that?Anyway, just wanna ask whether anyone of you know where this flag above is going or what to change now in flags to disable the dark-mode.Thanks.

Hi again,

one more thing to make it clear.With the dark-mode I mean the browser top and menus which are shwoing black.Normaly I'am using a theme for normal & incognito mode but now its only showing in normal window and no more in incognito window.Below a image I made...

....above you can see the open incognito window which is dark / purple and the menu and context menu background is black.Below you can see the normal not incognito window where you also see my used theme (gray) and this I should also have in incognito mode but now its gone and I don't find that chrome flag "Enable Incognito brand consistency in desktop" anymore. 😕 That really sucks!So many people working on Chrome/Brave and nobody of them get it managed to create a simple option to enable/disable this in the main settings window anywhere.Sorry, I just don't get it.

sorry, but I can not stay calm. Just imagine the Chrome/Brave guys would remove the URL and bookmark bars just because of common behavior. I just don't understand why the flag entry was removed. This is not acceptable. Its already bad enough that you as "normal user" has to find that one flag just to get your custom installed theme accepted in incognito mode. Thats absolutely ridiculous and has nothing to do with any kind of "advanced work flow". I did report that missing flag on Brave-hub already. Lets see what will happens.

One more thing. I found this flag "Color Provider Redirection For Theme Provider" and when I enable this then its just changing the purple color from incognito mode into black.

Color Provider Redirection For Theme Provider

Redirects color requests from the ThemeProvider to the ColorProvider where possible. 
– Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, Fuchsia

Not much better of course.

PS: Firefox never has any issues with used custom themes in private mode and do change any colors etc. Just wonder why the Chrome guys can not keep their hands off the user setup! Man man man!

still didn't got any answer to my report on Brave Hub! They are so lame! That purple color & dark menu color makes me sick. Is there really no hack or something I could do to change this?

....left my Brave Browser incognito window and on the right my FireFox private window. Whats the difference? Hhhmmm, lets think. In both browsers I can see a incognito / private icon / glasses so that everyone can recognize "AHA! I'am in private mode on the road". Firefox did change nothing and just putting that mask icon on browser top and Brave did same but also changes the entire browser & menu color look to agressive purple & black = what a heck (not showing my theme).So can anyone tell me why they did it or whats the reason for this or whether there is hidden any higher logic sense behind it? I don't think so right. Maybe they just think "hey, it looks much cooler so" or whatever. So its not cooler! Its also not cooler to put custom black bars (letterboxes) on the screen to create a pseudo MOVIE look etc. Once again, its stupid, useless, ridiculous and total inappropriate!!!! It may be that I exaggerate but thats me. Take it or F-Off! Man man man you!

....but oh wonder the missing flag is still missing and the Brave guys still didn't answer me on g-hub! Now I wrote another message to them and hope that they will read it now with more attention. So slowly I'am really getting angry! I found another post somebody (not me) did post about same problem here....

...so I think those Chrome/Brave guys do this on purpose to but I don't know why. There is no reasonable reason why this flag was removed. They just want to force us using that damn stupid purple look. Otherwise the installed user theme would work in both mods (Normal & Incognito) OR you would find a simple option / slider on the settings appearance page to enable / disable it but there is NOTHING and before anyone had to find out that ONE specific flag to disable to make the THEME work in incognito mode and now after a longer while the FLAG is gone / removed by MAGIC, right. Just ridiculous!!!

Question: Why is it so simple to upload videos on YT? Because they want to have it and genrate clicks and trying to hold people on their site as long as possible (like most sites of course). And why is it NOT possible to download videos from YT just by using YT itself? Because they don't want you to get & share those videos anywhere else. Thats the reason why you will never find any DOWNLOAD button on the player itself to download any video. You get only things like "Copy video URL" and "Stats for nerds" to see but nothing to download which would be much more interesting for the most of course. So you know what I mean and trying to talk about right. The whole procedere all over makes me pretty angry. You get forced to use things you don't wanna use or get blocked / stoped / restricted / limited etc. Somehow the entire "Bullshit Behavior" is getting more and more popular and normal but I will not accept that!

I have to admit that choice of colour is rancid. Enough to make me want to close my eyes and have incognito browsing disabled by default.

I do not reverse Chrome/Brave and just want to use it and thats all but unfortunately there are still running some people around who think they can do what they want without to get any penalty (it is an honor for me to distribute some free ass kicks right there where it belongs into some useless and ignoramuses DEVs BLACK-HOLES). They just deserve it, point! Any objections? No? Alright and decided. 

Ok, fun aside now for a small moment. I'am really angry and just wanna know why they removed that damn flag. I tried to ask friendly about it but got no answer yet after 5 fornicationing days. Oh, are they just too busy to answer me yes? I'am so sorry! You guys just have to spend so much to time create new pre, alpha, beta and nightly release versions every day!! Just take the damn time to check the issues section you little "Goblins"! Maybe I should do write a song about it and release a Alpha version on YT....."Chrome fornicationed up, yeah yeah yeah......always NOT on TOP, yeah yeah yeah". Man man man you! I really don't know whether I should just laugh about it or to getting more angry. Anyway, they are just a bunch of unwise acting people. Thats fact, unfortunately.

@Teddy Rogers Yes, you said it. I want to close my eyes too to prevent seeing that color disaster theme. Some kind of Purple Rain for the eyes. I still using FireFox too Ted. Just using both browsers.

the Chrome punks still didn't add the flag back or anything to use custom themes in incognito mode and they released few new versions already. Just unbelievable. I'am almost close to give up posting more posts on GH about that problem but I tried it last time now just in the hope that any of them will answer in next days. If not then they can put their Chrome / Brave browser in that location where no sun comes in. I'am officialy pissed now. 🚾

they still didn't change anything to re-add the flag to allow users to use custom themes in incognito mode! I think they are lost in total stupidity.

So I just have a tiny question about Githubs Issues section and the search bar. Is it possible to search for words which just occur in the title only? Normaly the search does check entire content of posts but its bad when people do post some logs where the same word occur always as default. So this time I just want to check the titles. How to use the search bar on issues tab with that? I also don't see any extra options to customize the search anyhow etc. I just see this... "is:issue is:open". Maybe you know it how to specify the search.

The most biggest disappointment it that really NONE of those Brave/Chrome guys did gave any answer on github on my question. That makes me so fu*king angry! Also the Brave channel was closed where anyone else did asked the same...

...I really don't know what wrong is with that people there. Are they sick or don't they get no brain function pills anymore to work correctly? I'am the most friendly person I know and anyone of you can confirm that of course (don't you dare to say anything else!) right? Just to ignore my question is really the last. It seems it brings nothing if I just keep annoying myself so what can I do now? The Brave/Chrome guys just don't fu*king care and I can not reach anyone of them to talk with or visit them on their Monkey Island (greetings to Guybrush).

Is there anyone here on forum who has any idea how to HACK / PATCH etc Chrome/Brave anyhow/anywhere to make it work AGAIN to let enable themes in incognito mode? Where are the flags saved? I think they just disabled that flag from using it anymore without to remove it or something like that. Similar like websites who telling user XY is not more there but its still there only no more visiable to access etc you know. new version is out today. They still didn't add the flag back or anything to use theme in incognito mode and furthermore they changed now the entire text color of extension icons in ingognito mode from white to black!=? Now you see almost nothing anymore. Only in not incognito mode the color is still white. Look..

Here in normal mode......and here in incognito mode now......text color is black.

Somehow they just don't get it anymore right. Makes that sense to use a black text color on a black / dark background? But this seems just happen in Brave browser and not in Chrome browser so there is the text color still white also in incognito mode. Anyway, so what they do, they don't do it better anymore. So if you check the latest changes of Brave here...

Found another issues. The reading list is gone in Brave now but not in Chrome!? Those flags below are gone in Brave now.

But the menu entry if you press right mouse on a tab in Brave is still there called "Add tab to reading list" but always disabled and the reading list button on right side I had before is also gone. Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those Idiots are really not to stupid to step from one grease bowl into next. This is no more official! I'am really getting angy again.

EDIT: Ok I see same problem is in Chrome too. Just had to update Chrome manually now. Hhmm! Chrome = Brave = same problems. Damn!

@LCF-ATmay I suggest you trying Microsoft edge latest(chromium based), it has dark private browsing, moreover their support is really good.

The browsers are falling and rising, did you remember the days that NetScape was the first browser in the world?

not sure about MSoft Edge browser. Do you mean this Edge browser I have on PC? Why is it now chromium based? I can use all my extensions of Chrome into that too? Never used it before and I have setup my Brave browser already over the years till today and don't wanna give it up just because there are some damn idiots now working on Chrome making own stupid rules and forcing people to work with hard-setups the user can't change anymore. I'am really getting so fcking sick of that and it must be glass clear already that we are surrounded by a bunch of total FCK zucker(s). Its all just so ridiculous, senseless & moronic. Thats not the way I do want support or be a part of it when your voice is not heard anymore and I don't like it to annoy myself anymore because of people who do support "Stupid Behavior" on a grand scale you know. I just can't understand it anymore.

PS: Hehe, I do remember NetScape browser but I only got them from computer magazines with CD. I could use it but at the time I had no internet connection.

Yes, You can use all Chrome Extension (almost) in Edge. Allow extension from another store to do this. You can find the settings in extension tab of edge.

ok I tried using Edge now and see its same bad. I can install Chrome themes or using any from Edge itself but its just working in normal mode and NOT in private mode where all is dark again. Also in the flags I can not find any old incognito entry to allow using themes in private mode. Its same bad. So why they think that users do not want to use their themes in private mode?!

Hi @LCF-AT, I felt your problem, but I only use default themes, while it has dark I think it is decent.

I saw all chromium based browsers are same, just create a report to Microsoft support, they answer in 1 or two days. Even they reject, I think they should provide a reason.
