please excuse English :) x

the 90's and early 2000's were very ecstatic and brought many many fun networks of meaning in the reality. better than sex, money & some drugs depending (<2000's)

questions

- why would parts of the scene be less populated ?

would this be part of usenet/etc loosing attraction? or the style of the internet? obviously having freedom and having money is fun like open source and free software, not having to pay $50-200 for ollydbg or reverse tools which is true so

open source is obviously making a very serious come back in regard to old times fun and sake of..

can we archive the contents (templates, music, patches) into one zip file and archive for history sakes?

Would not even know where to find most of the older releases these days? Webscene and a few other sites have some archived from over the last decade...

Archivism is a long and fastidious process for multiple reasons, and if you start nowodays it's even harder to get the releases that was made 10 years agos, but it's not too late for today releases who will become vintage in 20 years.
as of today, i guess, to get old releases your only chance is to check from archive.org or get them from some obscure cracksites, that what i would do and dig into.

what about keygen interfaces.

I've added a lot of keygen/patch/installers/trainers, etc... graphics on defacto2.net, and i think it's the most complete place where to find that 'warez gfx' now.
i even took time to purge control forms, text labels, etc.. when there was window controls in front of the gfx.

because that need to be done right too, it's not just about taking a screenshot.

keygen/chip tunes are archived here:

KeyGenMusic

keygenMusic is a great place if you know a music only from 'that release name'
if you have enought skill to extract a module from an executable and have enought luck to have a compositer who commented his module, then you can go on modarchive.org. it's way more complete than keygenmusic, less warez'ish also, but at least you have date, info about the autor, you can search for the 'discography' etc..

What do you think about a open source admin control panel that lets the admin choose other staff members to be admin and have access to server payment ..... so oldscool and cool sites stay up

(sort of like the twitter/facebook  login feature)
