I heard that Mr Exodia joined Denuvo very recently as an employee.

I just hope that there would be no "conflict of interest" with his reversing hobby and that he would continue to post and release great work for all of us! 😁

Yeah the fact that Mr Exodia joined Denuvo since May 2018 and working as a developer there is fully confirmed and has been told to me by a very senior reverser. He is presently in Poland.

What is not confirmed but remains as a rumor is the fact that he was also asked by the Denuvo guys to create rifts and conflicts in the Reversing Community so that the forums get broken up and reversers leave, thereby benefiting Denuvo. I'd ignored the rumors earlier but lately the events in our forums is making me think twice.

The monetization of the RE community, its interests, its tools and assets, as well as the interest by every agency and its cousin makes it so that things may rip apart at anytime - its always a possibility.

But remember there is a huge controlling force here trying to prevent that - otherwise things are back to the wild free internet days waiting for some new folks willing to build up new power hierarchies.  A new formation and structuring would occur.  So all in all mostly what we are seeing is power players trying to control it - definetely Denuvo would not want to destroy things or they could not do counter-intelligence.  But yes we can be suspicious that being productive, effective and such is becoming certainly harder and buying up some top reversers here and there is hardly surprising as in a mature community, at the end of the day, people need to make money.

But trust me when you are infiltrating something, breaking it up and leaving is almost never the strategy employed.  And we have not witnessed anything from Mr. Exodia as such.  I think we just lost a talented and effective reverser probably for good as they will force security clearances, corporate lines and loyalties on him over time.  It happens, just get over it.  The community just needs certain self-protections to neutralize certain troubles as best it can.

anyway I don't know how mrexodia joining Denuvo will affect the community, talented people show up all the time, mrexodia did a nice job on x64dbg project and I don't think he will

It is indeed true that I work for Denuvo and this is public information you can see at my LinkedIn profile.

We use x64dbg at work and I have assured that there in no conflicts of interest in that regard. I keep working on features I need like always.

However I would like to say that those “rumors” don’t exist and my employer has no influence about what I do or say online. If you feel like you have some questions related to those “rumors” @p4r4d0x (or anybody else) you can ask those things to me directly instead of going deep in conspiracies that you hear from “senior reversers”.

With regards to breaking communities, there is absolutely zero benefit like @Progman noted. The reversing community as a whole has been going downhill in my opinion for years now and if anything we need more people sharing information online, not less.

@Kurapica I will keep sharing my tools and knowledge as always. Nowadays I’m more active on Github and Stack Exchange than these (and other) forums, but I’m sure you can appreciate how your available time changes if you start your first full time job 😀

Also only few people seem to write my nickname as I like it nowadays: “mrexodia”, which is surprising

Based on your response as seen in the screenshot from just last week, there have been discussions that you were trying to agitate reversers and attempt to create conflicts in the RE communities. You cannot deny the fact that the screenshot is 100% true and that you'd indeed posted that.

What you'd posted is no doubt true. Admins can do anything they wish. It i showever not good to make a post to that effect in that manner. Makes it sound just so arrogant and pardon me for saying it, brings to on'es mind a term "throwing one's weight around".

Since you'd made that post in the context of TechLord, let me remind you that I was banned from his team after I started to DM everybody for cracks (for Metasploit) despite warnings against doing so. He even gave me 2 chances but I'd ruined them There is something called retribution and arrogance is not good. It just got me thinking as to what could be your motive to do all that?  Not only me. A lot of us thought along similar lines.

Other screenshots of posts between exetools staff members that were again genuine, but which got removed when I posted them here earlier last week again corroborated this fact. I just think that arrogance (as seen from the post your'd made above), for whatever reason, is just not good.

That post was just because we (the administrators) are frustrated with the situation at exetools. The TechLord situation has been getting out of hand over there, but I see no reason to go on about it here. I have been voting to ban him for years now, because this is exactly what I was afraid of happening. That is my personal opinion, not the one of my employer.

I've been reporting all the posts made here about all the nonsense going on there that they are trying to bleed into this site as well. Just ignore him as well mrexodia, it's not the real p4r4d0x. It's one of Tech's groupies, if not Tech himself, looking to stir drama up on this site as well. 

Congrats on the job, perhaps you can steer them into a better direction from being so anti-consumer.

so we got this happening and those other people valeroa doing the same 'cause problems' nonsense... what they dont realise is that the public forums are not exactly where the 'magic' happens.... and i really doubt either them or denuvo have infiltrated that far into the teams somehow.. maybe into skidrow 😜

Find it funny how the agitator creates the topic to try and bring attention to what he had to post later on Puny schemes. People just have lives; RE isn't going anywhere. Same as there's been one generation of smart, skilled and enthused people, others will follow. Circle of life. What I do find funny is how this "high-level programming" works even with big companies, such as Denuvo. I put quotes because same as Java relies on a ton of shit OTHER people wrote across time, which they now just import, similarly Denuvo relies on VMProtect to shield whatever crap they've got going on. Were it not for it, we'd have gotten ourselves the ol' time SecuROM/SafeDisc fiascos. I digress..
