Looking for a Chrome AddOn like SearchWP for FF

Hi guys,

short question.So at the moment I also try to use the Chrome browser and wanted to setup the browser similar like my Firefox browser and try to find same AddOns or similar AddOns for Chrome now.One of my favorite and must have AddOns for Firefox is the SearchWP extension where I can find all words or letters on the sites which get highlighted in diffrent colors and I can jump to all founds by buttons etc.So the problem is that this plugin is not to get for Chrome browser and all other similar AddOns for Chrome I found & test are not to compare to this one (to complex to use or anything else).Just wanna ask whether you know any Chrome AddOn which is almost very similar as the SearchWP AddOne for Firefox?This AddOn is really easy to use and just perfect.If you know it already than you know what I mean and looking for.If not then you can check it out...

...if you like.Anyway,so if you know any similar AddOn like this for Chrome then just post it and I will check this out.Important it that I can enter word or single letters in any bar which then get all marked on site + a jumper button etc.So if there are not AddOn like this for Chrome like this so maybe you know or you are any Chrome AddOn maker who could create a Chrome AddOne like this for me and all etc so that would be cool. Just asking so maybe I have some luck with my request.

Hi and thanks for the link.I have test them and the Pearls Extension is a alternativ I can use with Chrome.

SearchWP is always crashing for me

So I use latest SearchWP for Firefox and it dosen't crash and also didn't crashed before.Maybe there is any problem with any settings or try to disable all other AddOns you are using and test it alone again.

Hi guys,

yesterday I did update Firefox to latest version Quantum and now some AddOns are not working anymore with that version like this SearchWP I did use whole time before.Now I need to look for any alternative AddOn etc but Firefox has nothing to offer. Only thing I found was a script called "Text Highlighter"

but I dont get it work with Tampermonkey yet.I also tried Greasemonkey but then I get no script settings to see in Firefox etc.Could anyone of you check out whether this script works with GM or TM and if yes how to setup + where to enter the words?

SearchWP was great and now I can only use older FF to work with.Is anyone around who knows how to make this AddOn work with that newer FF version?Any app hack or rewrite or something etc you know.No idea why there are no other AddOns like this in the FF AddOn store.Tons of AddOns about anything but not that.Great!I think the FF guys could also add such functions like SearchWP into FF itself in any next version instead to add any functions like to make screenshots etc.

Anyway,so if anyone could help anyhow I would be happy.

PS: By the way,this latest version still has problems with some players especially for livestreams.I think they dosent fix that anymore.

Hi again,

I have test this script again with Tampermonkey (GM 4.0 dosent work with that) and now it seems to work.So in TM I get also the commands to see if I press the icon (set keyword / set highlight).Now the text getting marked if I load a site (not working on fly).Only problem now is thats not working correctly for all sites.I have test it with google and other search sites and if I enter same word to search or shorter then google does show results (normaly) and right after that the site disapers = everything white / background = nothing there anymore.Also same on other search sites.This sucks of course.No idea what the problem is.

Example: I enter the word testing.If I now search in google for testing or test then this problem happens I told above.The only thing I edit in the script was to include http://* and https://* so thats all.

Anyway,its really bad that the support of some older AddOns like searchWP / NoScript etc arent working anymore.Now I need to use also the latest FF version before 57.0 as alternativ portable too.

just wanna post some feedback after a long time looking & testing other AddOns to find a good alternative for the SearchWP AddOn.A while ago I found some diffrent AddOns I have test them all,also some China one but all those AddOns wanst really a good alternative to SearchWP.Now some time later I found a good AddOn which is a good one and I am also pretty happy with this version now.The AddOn called....

Highlight This: finds and marks words von Wim Deboel

...and its also to get for Chrome too.So I use it for latest FF & Brave browsers (I dont need to use any older FF versions anymore with SearchWP).Only tiny disadvantage is that the AddOn seems not to work on all sites (like the AddOn page you can download the AddOn),not sure why but I think it was the only site I found where the AddOn didnt work but for all other I visited its working.All in all a good AddOn so far I can live with. 

If anyone is still looking for a SearchWP alternative AddOn then you should try this one.
