I just thought I'd mention this game, just played it a bit and it's wonderful!

This is for all the 2D Retro freaks out there, and I even hate old games

It's really wonderful, it looks great, nice gameplay with some weird metal arm that enables you to swing across platforms and the whole design is just hilarious, especially the stupid dialogs

You can also play it in coop mode

It's only 15$ on D2D, about 250MB in size

I just got it from a torrentsite but I plan on buying it, considering it's that cheap it really is worth every penny

Wow, I feel old! I actually played Bionic Commando on the original arcade and on NES. I think it came out in the late 80's so it's not THAT old. The arcade one obviously looked much better than the NES, but not as nice as this new Rearmed version. Will check it out, for a little nostalgia.

And for the record, MAME rocks!! Graphics obviously have improved much over the years, but I find many games today lack the originality in gameplay found in many of the old school arcade games.

Not true. You got a lot of indies these days which are absolutely fascinating and great. Problem is there are a lot more games out today, so more saturation with crap.

Yup also never touched an amiga or other old stuff.. I think there's one on display at our university though..

Grew up with monkey island and wolfenstein 3d.. " Killing nazi's when you are 8 can only be good.

Looks like a nice game though..
