Digsby...

I have been having a bit of a bad time with Pidgin and Yahoo of late. For those that do not know Pidgin is a multiprotocol IM client. I have not been able to stop Yahoo from dropping offline so I decided to have a look around for a temporary substitute and came across Digsby.

I am not sure but I don't think it has even been around for a year and it is already looking very promising and a good alternative to Pidgin. I thought I'd post this here rather than in the Freeware topic to see what some of you guys and girls think and maybe some of you already know something more about Digsby and its history?

I tried Pidgin once as I was having some issues with Trillian but they both suck somehow.

Pidgin wouldnt allow me to set my status IM-wise, just globally :/

Same with Digsby, I sent them a feature request though, I hope they think it makes sense as much as I do

Gave up on it. Can't authenticate my MSN account. Seems they don't really know MSN protocol but go through web messanger. Sucks...

I'll give it a whirl. Been using Pidgeon for a while but I usually use live messenger for msn. Just pidgeon for everything else. My roommate uses Trillian which works pretty well with yahoo from what I've heard. I am interested in some of the other features of Digsby. Looks promising.
