"the name of gad" and "important topic" seems quite ironic and funny for some reason... :)

Well, the "in the name of god" phrase has a special significance for Muslims: it's the first verse of every sura (but one) of the Qur'an. They usually begin each task after reciting this verse.

It's nothing to laugh about.

But, the specific question in an RCE board, is hard for me to understand.

Dunno...

  • Get some private courses maybe?
  • Listening to vocal material?
  • Following Blah's advise ? (Hint: http://www.rosettastone.com/ )
  • [ X ] All of the above?

Really hard to tell... :dunno:

Didn't mean no offence. :o I guess I need to be more careful on making comments related to religions from now on. Sorry if you took offence from it.

just like we people say hi they say in the name of god as HVC explained very well ( i must confiss ) it's a commonly used verse.

i know some of u aren't that effected by religions but we gotta respect each other, rememeber no respect (no humanity) !

heKCEr i know him since a while and he is a real nice guy, has troubles expressing in english but he can crack very well ;)

Cheers.

As Angel-55 said try reading more English articles. Just like I am trying to learn French, I can tell you what you exactly need to learn a new language.

1). Get some book, video or tutor which can help you understanding the basics of the language.

2). Read articles that will help you grasp things that relate to your daily life.

3). Converse in the language, or write it down

4). Voila! See the change.

It might take time, so be patient. For the record, I know around 7 languages(Hindi,Urdu,2 other Indian Languages, ofc English,Broken Spanish and now little French). So as far as I can tell, learn to use it normally in daily routine and grasp on the language becomes easier.

Oh and yeah, here at SND we speak primarily one language, ASM

Happy learning.

Just watch English TV, there should be enough floating around the web.. :)

That's how I learned.. There was no decent TV in my native language so I had no other choice than to learn English.

take your classes properly in school and listen to lectures :P . You will atleast learn it a bit to express what you want to say, as for fluency, what other guys said, chat with english ppl, watch english movies etc. (remember no love :D ).

I used to date a Spanish girl that knew 8 languages fluently (at the time) and was learning another 2. She probably knows more now...

I recently saw something on TV about an embassador back in 1900 or so who spoke 40 languages fluently :o

WTF! I'm having enough trouble getting my lousy Spanish to work, I often confuse spanish and english vocabulary.

How do you speak 40 languages, fluently mind you :o
