Dubai Is Nuts!

That's ****ing insane :o

That would make it more than 30% taller than the Burj Dubai and three times as tall as the Empire State Building.

It's weird, when you're up there you think this is pretty tall but 3 times as much ? :o

I love the World Islands, a shame I can't afford the 30 million :D

I visit dubai at least 2-3 times a year. The most amazing and mind boggling construction is the palm islands. I have heard that it is the second man made architecture that is visible from moon(after the great wall of China)... not sure whether thats the truth or not. Gosh, need someone who could finance my home there.. ^_^ ... I l see if I could upload some of the pics that I took there.

Now that this topic has come up, lemme share this info. This is one of the destination where I will be going to on honeymoon soon .... :P

It is false that the Great Wall of China can be seen from either space or the moon. In fact the Great Wall of China is one of many such walls spread throughout China. The main reason why the Great Wall is different, has lasted longer and become more popular is because it was constructed out of bricks rather than packed earth...

Like Ted said, many things can be seen from space, but only with perfect weather conditions. And those conditions are rarely seen ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

i watched a program on tv not long ago about the building of the "world islands" complex ..... :o amazing amount of engineering ingenuity used.... not to mention a whole boat load of money, dubai has a hugeeeee financial capability and it's expansion is extraordinary with very little to compare it too
