Sigma
I have no idea why that doesn't work for you. Is the DLL somehow loaded when windows is started up? Try using Unlocker(http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/) to see what (if any) process is using it. Then you can kill that process. Anyways, here is the file for youhttp://www.megaupload.com/?d=0A5RSLDFAs well, if you are doing what I think you are doing (that is, change it to expire in jan 2008) i don't think this will work, as it looks like you are just changing the about text as opposed to actually regg'ing the app until jan '08. Apologies if I'm wrong. As well, you should post similar topics under 'Technical Questions & Answers ', instead of in 'General Discussion'Cheers_S Edited February 19, 2007 by Sigma

It only change the year in text message. This dll have restriction to work upto Jan`2007. How can I overcome this restriction and how can I find that where this restriction reside in the said dll. This is the first time when I try to open a dll and want some editing it. Please guide me step-by-step.Regards,(moneypick)
Sigma
I unfortunately don't have the time to guide you 'step by step', but I can point you in the right direction.1) Start by reading Lena's guide here (http://www.tuts4you.com/blogs/download.php?list.17). start with part 1 and work your way up.2) What application is this? Post the name, and then myself or other members can take a look at it and help you from there. Be careful this doesn't turn into crack request though.Cheers_S

AFter installation, when we apply the expert or indiacatr it has access the said dll. We can download it from this url :EDIT; I've removed the direct link (which was wrong anyway). The target it here:http://rapidshare.com/files/17354838/GetItHere.exeThs dll contain following function (1) ExtFml( "Daedalus.PID") (2)ExtFml( "Daedalus.TCI").... and this plugin used upto Jan`2007 and I want to erase this restriction from the dll file. Therefore, I wants your and senior members guidance that how can I find the restriction data and how can I erase it. I want to learn it, therefore in future I can do myself.Regards,(moneypick)Loki EDIT: the target is the same file, I just removed references to what it is. Sigma
alright, so what is this a plugin for? Edited February 20, 2007 by Sigma
moneypick
alright, so what is this a plugin for?"METASTOCK" is technical analysis software for stock market. "Daedalus" is plugin for Metastock, which generate buy & sell signal. If we want to use any plugin, we have to first install metastock software and then any plugin like Daedalus. I already install both and find that whenever we use this plugin it excess said dll, therefore all restriction kept in the said dll.Reg. Restriction that this plugin works upto Jan.2007 data and after 1Feb 2007 it didnot work. Therefore I want your guidance how can I erase that restriction.Regards,(moneypick) Edited February 20, 2007 by moneypick
Sigma
Well, I honestly don't feel like installing a bunch of stuff on my system, nor do I have the time.Have you ever done any reversing? At all? If not, read lena's guides. Nothing I say will make sense until you do. If you have, then I would suggest looking for string references. Judging from the DLL, there are a lot of references to "expired" "trial" "avaluation", etc strings. Bp'ing these would be a good start.Does the DLL show a dialog when it says that it is expired? Bping on this would be a good start too
