Ufo-Pu55y
Maybe this is already old, that the police uses trojans to spy suspicious ppl, dunno... but I just heard it on the radio-news, that it's now officially permitted by law... Hum... What do you think ?
zer0buRn
Guess it's no different that wire tapping or intercepting e-mail. But this has been around for a while I'm sure. I've seen TV shows about Police / FBI hacking into crimial PCs and snooping around so in my eyes setting a trojan is no different and they've probably been doing it for years already...P.S. Not regular TV episodes. I'm talking about Documentaries. Edited February 5, 2007 by zer0buRn
starzboy
well ... if this stuff gets popular .... i would be expecting a Cracker Edition Anti-Virus [if the normal Av's choose to allow the police trojans]

Loki
German guys are quite well protected in that area I think.... even at work the works councils etc can be a nightmare to work with when working in a multinational company.
Teddy Rogers
I suppose this depends on certain countries. If you have a country that allows tapping, monitoring and intrusive forms of spying on people by certain organisations then probably this is just another form. However those countries that respect peoples personal privacy won't allow this. However what is to stop another country where intrusive spying is allowed not do it to someone in another country where intrusive spying isn't allowed? Ted. oricode
However what is to stop another country where intrusive spying is allowed not do it to someone in another country where intrusive spying isn't allowed? This is strange. If police is allowed to spy, do you think hackers are lame? They would use the same kind of trojans that use the same API's used in "police trojans".Then there wont be any damn control over crime too! @Ted Thats a flaw i international political system. As you have heard of Pirate Bay going for its own country, dont you think hackers will breed there(if PB ever get its own country)? And who will stop them? Oricode. Teddy Rogers
Who would stop some international force sailing over and destroying what is on that "island"? It works both ways... Ted.
