Guest Biff
Yes, bump keys have been around for quite some time now, but there are locks where bump keying doesn't work. Check out www.toool.nl for more info.

Locksmith
yes its been out for ages HOWEVER a good locksmith can simply pin a lcok in a way that bump keys no longer work and it can be done a hell of lot cheaper than placing a Medeco M3 on your door /*Rant Mode Mr Tobias & Mr Blaze should be hung up by the Gonads, Security Through Obscerity dosent work on software but how many unpatched machines would there be if you had to pay $100- $150 for each patch that came out. */ End Rant Mode Still it?s been good for business
Guest Biff
Locksmith -- I was under the impression (at least from those videos) that bumping worked on locks no matter how they're pinned. Well, doesn't really matter what I thought, you're the locksmith lol. Anyway, whats the difference in the pinning between a bumpable lock and a non-bumpable lock? Locksmith
its not the pins that you adjust its something else in the lock, also has the benifits of making pick guns not work so you have to do it by hand ;-) (and i dont mean adding Mushroom Pins)just for the record.A Forensic Locksmith Can tell if someones bumped a Lock, they do leave marks just like picking will do.if anyone is thinking about doing this at their school - dont bother, most schools will use high security locks that cant be bumped unless you have specalized knowledge and the right tools to modify the key. Certain High Security locks Cannot Be Bumped without fluking it - Primus, BiLock, Abloy, newer MultiT Locks and Best IC, with Medeco you Need to have got your hands on a very restriced keyway that ALREADY works some of the locks in the system or it wont go eitherthere is no 'master key' that enters every keyway. in my van i have a ring of 10 of the most popular keyways in this area for bumping. anything else i either have to bypass or pick.Remember - The Police are fully aware of what a bump key looks like and in the US and The UK it is considered as 'going equiped' and as a Magistrate told me when i was younger - "Ignorance Is No Excuse In The Eyes Of The Law" Edited September 22, 2006 by Locksmith

What do you mean? Why don't they just do this adjustment from the factory and eliminate the entire bumping problem? You have me interested now lol.
