Welcome to Tuts 4 You!

Before you browse through our forums to create topics and posts it will be helpful for you to know some things about the way our board works and it is very important that you read all our rules to avoid a suspension or a ban. We do not like to impose suspensions or bans but we do need to keep up the integrity of the board, whether by accident or by design you risk being punished if you do not follow and adhere to these rules.

While there may seem to be a lot of rules if you have a good read through them you will find most (if not all) are common sense.

01. Board Etiquette and Basic Board Rules

This is a family board and we expect all members to conduct themselves accordingly, in a polite and friendly manner. Administrators and moderators will deal with unruly members so you do not need to to be drawn in to any confrontation.

We do not tolerate flaming or disrespect to other board members including religious, political and racial abuse. We do not take kindly to obnoxious or obscene material posted anywhere on this site.

When making a topic or post please do it in the appropriate place and forum. Use good spelling and grammar and try to provide as much detail and information as you can, doing so presents you clearly and legibly giving you the best possibly outcome of a reply or the answer you want. If you have nothing to add to a topic or post and only want to say a thank you please vote the post up instead. Remember typing with caps lock enabled is considered shouting and no one wants to talk with people who shout loudly at them.

Please watch this short Shockwave Flash movie, "Posting and You".

02. Restrict and Restricted Members (Locked Junior)

You can ignore other board members or block their posts, signatures and messages. You can do this from your Ignore Preferences.

Abusive or annoying members may be placed in to the Locked Junior group. The restrictions in Locked Junior group will impede access to features of the board but protect other board members from their continued abuse.

03. Additional Board Features

Gallery - gives board members the ability to upload and host snapshots, graphics and artistic works. It is easier to view graphics en-mass in the Gallery than it would be via individual forum topics. It can be used to host wallpapers, screenshots, desktop screens, funny photos, etc. Maximum dimensions of uploaded images is restricted to 1920x1080.

Downloads - allow board members to upload their files and works making viewing and sharing en-mass a lot easier. The Downloads page automatically creates a new topic in the appropriate forum for you. This means you can upload your files to Downloads and not have to worry about creating a follow on topic in one of the forums. The new topic will provide a direct link to your download with a screenshot. Downloads supports various categories; scene demos and intros (up to a maximum of 20MB), keygen and patch templates, ANSII artwork, chiptunes, icons, fonts and various other categories.

Blogs - can be about anything you want providing that it does not breach the board rules and does not become an issue. Blogs must not be used as an a -> b -> c -> guide to cracking commercial software. All board rules apply to Blog entries. Unused (including empty) blogs will be deleted.

Shoutbox - makes it easy for members to communicate with each other in the community. Note, only members with a minimum of five posts are able to use this feature. All board rules apply, anyone caught breaking these rules will be banned from the Shoutbox.

04. Help and Support

If you require additional support or information on how the board and it's features work please try searching the board help topics:
  • The Search Button - Use this handy fellow to find topics and posts of discussions long gone by.
  • The Help Button - Use the help files to educate yourself on how to use the board.

05. Customise Personal Details and Profile

All members can configure and change their personal details and profile. To do this go to My Settings. You will find on the left side of the page a control panel with various options. If you need further instructions on what the features are and how to use them please consult the Help files.
  • Members with at least 1 post can have a custom title
  • Email addresses can be changed and updated but they must always be verified
  • Display names can be changed once every 30 days.

06. Logging in to the Board

This board may be different to others in the way you are required to login. All members must login using their email address and password. Not username and password.

07. Attachments and Scene Warez

No attachments must be uploaded which contain commercial or copyright material - binaries of any type. An attachment containing commercial or copyright material will be deleted immediately and at the moderators discretion the topic/post may be trashed. Scene warez containing cracks and commercial content is not tolerated at this board - this includes the posting of bug reports for scene released material.

08. Banners / Signatures / Avatars

Members are allowed to customise their avatars, signature and use banners. Please keep your banners and signatures reasonable both in size and content. Any signatures or banners containing political, racial or religious references and strong images may be offensive to others so please think before using it. If complaints are received you may be asked or an administrator will remove it for you.

09. Crack Requests

This is a serious reverse engineering community for people who have a real interest in reverse code engineering. It is not aimed at people seeking the removal of a protection from a specific commercial application. We take crack requests very seriously, anyone requesting a crack in any of the forums are banned immediately.

10. Spam and Bots

Spam and bots will not be tolerated on this board. Any "member" spamming the board or found to be a bot will be banned immediately.

11. Disposable Email Addresses

Temporary or disposable email addresses are not to be used. We do not send spam or illicit mail nor pass on your details to a third party so there is no reason for anyone to use a temporary email address. Any member found to be using such an email address can either find unused accounts deleted or invalidated until it is updated. We will treat any member using a temporary email address as being a spam or bot account.

12. Privacy Statement

We take your privacy seriously. We do not; collect, disclose, sell, transmit or divulge your private details, data and content to any third party. Neither do we purposely track, gather or log your actions to identify or monitor you. However like all other websites we do make regular daily and historical backups and carry out normal temporary server logging.

Remember there is no privacy if you are posting or creating a topic in a public forum for everyone to see so be careful what you post!

13. Deleting Accounts

We very rarely get requests to delete accounts and if requested we will refuse simply because majority of the time the member wants to delete their bad history and start a new clean account. Think carefully before you register and think even more carefully before you post and how you may be perceived in the future. If asked we will not delete the account once it has been registered but we can suspend them if you no longer wish to use it. If this is something you would like to do please contact an Administrator.

14. BBCode

BBCode is a quick and easy way to add effects or formatting to your posts. It is used in a similar format to HTML tags which you may already be familiar with. Here is a quick guide on the BBCode.

15. New To Reverse Code Engineering?

We regularly receive questions from people about where they should begin trying to learn reverse code engineering. If you are new to reverse engineering one of the most popular series which introduces you to the subject and commonly used tools is Lena's Reversing for Newbies. You can find the entire index of the series with download links by clicking through to this topic.

16. Complaints and Moderating Issues

If you have a complaint regarding the moderating of a topic or post please contact an Administrator with details and reason for your complaint. General questions and queries can be resolved in the Bug Reports & Technical Issues forum.

If you are not registered to the board or lost your ability to send private messages through the board you can contact an Administrator via the Submissions page.

17. Finally!
